How to protect your privacy from WhatsApp: How to block ads, messages and other information from WhatsApp
Privacy is an issue that is not easily addressed by apps, so how do you block unwanted content, or make sure your data isn’t shared in a way that is unauthorised?
Here is how to do that.
The first step to ensure that your WhatsApp conversation is private is to enable WhatsApp privacy screen protection.
WhatsApp has implemented this feature on iOS devices as of July 2015.
Users can turn on this feature from the Settings app and set it to OFF.
When you turn it on, you will see the WhatsApp privacy pane with the option to “Show” the privacy pane.
To access this privacy pane, tap the WhatsApp icon in the top-right corner of the screen and then tap “Privacy”.
From here, you can access your WhatsApp privacy settings.
You can check the “Hide messages” box to enable or disable this feature.
If you wish to disable the WhatsApp security features, tap “Show settings” and then “Disable”.
To turn off the privacy features altogether, tap on the WhatsApp “settings” icon in your notification area.
This Privacy Screen Protectors feature allows you to block WhatsApp messages, video calls and other messages from being read or seen by others.
To turn it off, tap off the Privacy pane in the upper-right part of the Privacy screen and tap the “Block” button.
You can turn off WhatsApp’s privacy screen by tapping on the icon in-between the message box and the “Unblock” button in the lower-right hand corner of your screen.
You will then be prompted to set up your settings to enable this feature in the WhatsApp settings app.
You should also be able to access the WhatsApp Privacy Screen Protector settings by tapping “Show”.
To turn on WhatsApp privacy protection, tap in the left-hand menu at the top of the privacy screen and select “Privacy.”
To access WhatsApp privacy options, tap Privacy and Privacy Settings.
You will then see a list of your privacy settings and settings to turn off, or enable this Privacy Screen Protection.
