The Apple Watch Series 3 will come with an iPhone X display instead of an OLED panel
Posted March 06, 2020 10:48:24Apple’s upcoming Watch Series 2 will sport a bigger, faster, and more powerful OLED display, which will replace the older iPhone X panel in the new model.
The new iPhone X is expected to be unveiled on March 13.
The Apple Watch has a larger bezel and a higher resolution OLED screen, but the Series 3 model will sport the same display.
The Series 3 Series 3 and Series 3 Plus models will also feature the same 8-inch curved OLED screen and new A9 chip, which can support 4K video.
The new Apple Watch comes with an A9 processor and support for FaceTime calling, but there’s no word on whether Apple plans to add a secondary display to the watch.
The watch will be available for preorder on March 10, priced at $1,599 for the model with the OLED screen.
Apple is expected make a significant push into the wearable market with its upcoming smartwatch.
The company is rumored to be considering a smartwatch with a larger screen, like the one we’ve seen on the new Apple TV, as well as a new version of the iWatch that could have a larger display.
